Excursions

On the Tuesday afternoon, we will not schedule any sessions but instead we are offering four interesting half-day excursions in and around Interlaken to all delegates and accompanying partners:

(For people holding Swiss Railways half-price passes, prices will be somewhat less)

The trip to the famous woodcarving town of Brienz takes just under an hour. Visitors to the caves are given a guided tour along illuminated underground paths which are up to 1000 metres below ground level. The caves are filled with stalagmites and stalactites and visitors will gain a fascinating insight into a unique underground world. The exhibition in the Cave Museum shows not only the development and history of the St Beatus caves, but also of Swiss cave exploration in general. The return journey to Interlaken is by coach along the cliff road on the edge of Lake Thun to Interlaken.
