Hotel Bookings

The hotel rooms cannot be guaranteed after the deadline (July 9th). The local organisers will do their best to match your preferences, but you should select alternative choices in case your preferred hotel is booked up by the time you register.

Null Hotel booking: you may opt out of choosing a hotel in order to make your own lodging arrangements. In order to do that just choose any hotel and "0" rooms.

Health and Accident Insurance

You are asked to take note of the following:

Participants should ensure that they are adequately insured for health and accidents for the duration of the conference and during their travel, to cover sickness, accidents and medical repatriation. CERN has no obligation in this regard and does not accept any responsibility for such coverage.

Participants are offered the possibility to subscribe an optional accident insurance for the duration of the conference. This is not necessary for those whose home institute already cover for incidences while on business trips (such as CERN). The specific coverage conditions are here

Cancellation Policy

Late cancellations may be subject to fees according to the date and to cover for the cancelled bookings. They will be withdrawn from the registration fee as follows:

• Until 9th July 2004: no charges
• From 10th July until 25th August: 100.00 CHF for administration charges
• afterwards: up to the full registration fee

A higher fee may be applied if the cancellation implies that of accompanying person(s). All refund claims will be considered and resolved after the conference.

Amendments to your registration

Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a letter from "Interlaken Congress" confirming it. It will have a reference number at its top right corner. If you wish to order other items later (the rail ticket, some excursion, etc) please fill in the same registration form as follows

1. put a hyphen in all compulsory fields as a placeholder, except for your name
2. Place in the Participant's Comment field: Amendment to Registration Ref. XYZ
3. make a "null" hotel booking (see above)
4. select extra items as desired and proceed; we recommend using the same payment method as your initial transaction.

If you have not received the confirmation letter by the time of your amendment, just provide as reference your name (as registered).
