End of Early Registration approaching!

There has been a tremendous response to the Call for Abstracts with more than 450 having been received in total. These are currently being reviewed by the Programme Committee and notifications of assignments in the programme are now being sent to authors.
With such a large number of submissions, not all contributions can be presented orally. At CHEP’04 special emphasis is therefore being given to the poster sessions which will contain a large number of high quality scientific contributions. Three poster sessions of 1 hour have been allocated in the programme during three mornings of the conference, during which time authors will be requested to be present to discuss with conference delegates. Each poster will be allocated to 1 of the 3 sessions according to topic i.e. authors will be required to attend only one of the three sessions.
All scientific contributions, whether in form of a talk or a poster presentation, will be eligible for publication in the proceedings. The next bulletin, expected in July, will contain detailed guidelines for the preparation of talks, posters and papers.
The detailed final structure of the programme can be found on the CHEP’04 website (http://www.chep04.org/CHEP04prog.pdf).
The basic structure is as follows:
Mornings: Plenary and Poster sessions. The plenary programme will include invited talks from industry and from the HEP community. Several excellent speakers have already accepted invitations.
Afternoons: The programme comprises 7 tracks which will be organised in 6 parallel sessions. The only change with respect to the previous Bulletins is that the original track on Distributed Computing has been split in two to accommodate the proportionally large number of abstracts it received.
The final list of tracks is as follows:
Online Computing
Event processing
Core Software
Distributed Computing Services
Distributed Computing Systems and Experiences
Computer Fabrics
Wide Area Networking
